About Us

Our name, Aqua-Terra-Vita, like the scientific names of all living creatures, is derived from ancient Greek and Latin which translates to 'Water-Land-Life'. Like our name suggests, we are specialists with over 35 years experience in the husbandry and captive breeding of rare and exotic aquatic and terrestrial animals from around the world. Many of the plants and animals that we are working with are ones that you will rarely see offered for sale anywhere else.   We enjoy the challenge of being able to maintain and reproduce some of the worlds most fascinating creatures - creatures whose beauty and survival instincts make them 'living jewels' for you to enjoy.

All of the animals that we are working with are bred in captivity by us, and, therefore, do not reduce or threaten populations in the wild. Furthermore, unlike wild-caught animals, our animals are disease and parasite free and are fully acclimated to life in captivity. When we are satisfied that we have the expertise to successfully keep and breed these animals, we publish our own Care Sheets so that when you obtain one of our offspring you will already have all the information that you need to continue our success in your own environment.
